Deep Gorge

Highlight • Gorge

There is another car bridge directly above this bridge. You shouldn't miss the somewhat hidden entrance to the lower one; the view over the edge of the bridge to the deep gorge is a highlight.

Traversella

Highlight • Settlement

A small, quaint town of about 300 inhabitants, it's not very well-known and has little to do with mass tourism. It's worth a visit; its history is closely tied to the diorite mines, which allowed the town to survive during the years of migration from the mountains to the cities. The buildings are almost entirely made of stone. Beautiful mountain bike trails start here.

Roman Bridge of Fondo

Highlight • Bridge

The humpback bridge of Fondo is a real jewel of Valchiusella. This, in reality, is one of the many present in the valley. Absolutely worth a visit.

June 11, 2022,Un po’ di Valchiusella (meno del previsto)
The idea was to go around the trail but after a series of tremendous ramps I convinced Moreno to TURNA AN DRERA 🤣🤣🤣🤣

After the ramps the snow began. We tried the detour to the mountain pasture, but after the farmhouse the path is for the exclusive use of goats (good ones)...
We returned by the same road and
climbed to Tallorno.
All in all a nice tour, to be done again from May onwards.

First the longest part on asphalt, then, once taken to the Palit, it begins on a dirt road alternating with concrete. After the Cima, through which you pass through a series of very steep hairpins with a bumpy surface, the beauty is a very demanding descent, stone steps, canals, to be done carefully. A nice trail follows, and then you …

A loop trail starting from Traversella toward Fondo. Before reaching the village, where work is currently being done to repair a landslide, you turn off toward Palit. However, due to my mistake, you shouldn't go to the old ski lifts. Instead, you turn off onto a farm road that was initially beautiful but then in serious disrepair toward Alpe Fontana. …
