The historic city center of Gernsbach is under monument protection. The city wall with the stork tower, the old town hall and the many half-timbered houses characterize the cityscape.

True carpentry! The approximately 40 meter long wooden bridge is the landmark of Forbach and its design is unique in Germany and even in Europe.

Cycled a bit uphill today.
Via Baden-Baden Geroldsau, onto the B500 up to Sand.
There, turned off to the dam.
Then down to Forbach.
Took a picture of the beautiful wooden bridge.
And via Gaggenau to Rimini for my well-earned spaghetti ice cream.
It was lovely.
Greetings, Schiffsdiesel. 👍😛🚴🏻‍♀️

Today I took the familiar route via Hundsbach and Hundseck and over the beautiful Black Forest High Road down to Baden-Baden. It must have been a day with little traffic, the Black Forest High Road is rarely so beautifully quiet.
