View of Röblinsee Marina

Highlight • Viewpoint

Here you have a great view of the marina and across the lake to the former feed mixing plant, which is to be developed into a modern urban district in the future.

Fürstenberg Lock

Highlight • Structure

Since the Upper Havel waterway is no longer used by cargo ships and is only used by a few small passenger ships, it has developed into a popular area for sports boats of all sizes and classes.

Fürstenberg/Havel

Highlight • Settlement

Very nice little water town. It is surrounded by the Schwedtsee, Baalensee and Röblinsee, through which the Havel flows. In the old town there are cobblestones, unfortunately the B96 is heavily used. The city lies on the Havel Cycle Route, the Berlin-Copenhagen Cycle Route and other regional cycle routes.

Town Church Fürstenberg/Havel

Highlight • Religious Site

A yellow brick shell on a cruciform ground plan with a semi-circular chancel in the west and a cantilevered tower (48 m) in the east. Baurat Buttel himself chose the "Byzantine" or round arch style for this elaborate new church building, which is characterized by classic-antique design language, Schinkel's practicality and the use of neo-Romanesque decorative elements.

Some of the locations are really beautiful on the lakes there. I liked to drive through there slowly. Even if some of the beautiful old houses look a bit dilapidated, it still looks fantastic with the great gardens in front.

Good road-accompanying bike path along the L15.
The bike path runs through beautiful forests and has only two small "interruptions" where you have to ride on a bike road a little further away from the road and on the road towards Altglobsow. There is also a small weather shelter with a bench.
The Brandenburg Tour also runs along the cycle path.
The cycle path was repaired in autumn 2020 at the particularly damaged areas and root foil was installed. Nevertheless, there are unfortunately still a few (rather small) bumps.
You have to be careful coming from Neuglobsow in the direction of Fürstenberg. There it goes down the mountain with a 9% gradient. However, on the one hand there are rain drains on the bike path that are not paved perpendicularly to the direction of travel, which represent a small bump, but can become dangerous at high speeds, and on the other hand, at the end of the section there is a property exit that is not clearly visible (probably from both sides). . Maybe resist the temptation to drive fast here (besides, you have to slow down again at the bottom anyway if you want to follow the bike path).

Today we took another short trip to Neuglobsow, to the bridge over the Polzow Canal. Then we went to the beach to watch the sunset. Lake Stechlin lay as smooth as glass, simply stunningly beautiful. But now it's time to head home, because it's getting dark in no time.
