Kleinostheim Forest Lake

Highlight • Lake

The Waldsee was created by a handful of idealists in 1964
built in the winter meadows with the support of the community.
The forest lake consists of 3 ponds with 1.2 hectares of water.
Our ponds are mainly populated with carp, tench, roach, pike and pikeperch. Crayfish and small fish also feel at home with us.
Some big amur fight against algae and aquatic plants that are becoming biologically rampant. The kingfisher and the moorhen are also welcome guests.

Rückersbach Gorge

Highlight (Segment) • Gorge

The Rückersbacher Gorge: A simply great trail to the place Rückersbach. But a section is already a very beautiful route through beautiful forest. Next to it is the splashing of the Rückers-Bach. GREAT.

Today I moved my hiking Sunday to Saturday...

The area around the Rückesbacher Gorge is simply beautiful...

There's almost nothing more to report 😆

Great area🌳🌲, great weather☀️, nice company 💪🏼😅💪🏼

The train station, a highlight 🤣🫣🤣

Today my after-work tour went along the European Cultural Trail. Start is at the "Schluchthof" in Kleinostheim, here you can usually eat very well - but until 22.2. closed 😔. You walk with a slight increase through the complete Rückersbacher gorge. When the weather is nice, you have a great view at the top. Then it goes down again, passing …

We started our tour at the Schluchthof parking lot. From there, we hiked up along the Rückersbach stream. The incline was noticeable, but easy to walk – and the gorge provided a nice distraction. 😉
At the Johannesberg Panorama Plateau, we had a short rest and a beautiful view, albeit a bit hazy.
Overall, a beautiful and pleasant tour. 😊

We orientated ourselves on the route of the European culture path. We unintentionally 😅 expanded this with a detour to Rückersbach.

Great tour from Schluchthof. Unfortunately the battery wasn't quite enough. Great picnic with a beautiful view with a dear friend.

Today we finished work earlier and put on our hiking boots and did another round through the beautiful Rückersbach Gorge.
It started at the Schluchhof restaurant and then directly up the gorge with its steep rock faces and the babbling brook to Rückersbach, where there is a great view. Over the Dreimärker, the highest mountain in the area at 330 …

To compensate for cycling, there was a hike through the beautiful Rückersbach Gorge in the late afternoon. An idyllic wooded round in sunny weather. We liked it very much.

Actually planned for longer. Actually set off in beautiful sunshine 🌞. Best weather through the gorge. Up on the edge of the village, dark clouds 🌧 greeted us, which were still discharging as we entered the forest again. So we were forced to stop three times under dense trees. When there was a thunderstorm ⛈... we just carried on. At …
