We've often used this place as an overnight stop on our way to Spain during the winter. This time we combined it with a varied hiking tour. The medieval artists' town of Montpeyroux is indescribably beautiful. The surrounding area, with its Château de Chadieu, the untamed Allier River, and the surrounding mountains, leaves a lasting impression.
