The first 30 km are very beautiful despite a fairly long diversion (see the circle on the map): great cycle paths lead through wetlands and bird paradises on the Achterwasser.

Today we continued on to Grado. The first highlight was Miramare Castle. A remnant of the Habsburg monarchy. We continued on the coastal road to Monfalcone. Fortunately, there was not that much traffic.
From Monfalcone we then went on beautiful paths through nature.
