Dürrer Eck Summit

A scenic tour in the Upper Austrian Pre-Alps in the Kalkalpen National Park region: from Molln through the mountain forest via the Mollnerhütte to the Dürre Eck at 1,222 m, from which you have a wonderful view of the Steyrtal and the Dead Mountains.

On path 28 up in the ditch, crossing a forest road to a hunting lodge with a spring. Then continue on path no. 484 in the forest, past a group of rocks, steeply to a mountain meadow.

From a saddle it goes in a few minutes to the right to the Mollner hut (it is a little below the mountain ridge) and on the left path no.14 leads to the mountain ridge. From there you can reach the summit of the Dürren Eck on the left and the summit of the Gaisberg on the right.

The hike to the Mollner Hütte and the Gaisberg offers an extraordinary view of the wonderful forest and summit panorama of the Steyr Valley.
