Gravel banks, alluvial forest, small islands and thus habitat for rare animals and plants form one of the last original river landscapes in the Alps. A few kilometers further downstream is Reutte, the main town of the Lech Valley, where the Lech cycle path meets the Via Claudia Augusta cycle path.
