St. Sebastian Chapel

Highlight • Religious Site

Here, in the heart of Satteins, stands a small but imposing chapel dedicated to Saint Sebastian. Its construction dates back to a vow made by the local residents after a plague epidemic. It is unknown exactly when the chapel was built, but it is known that it was consecrated to Saint Sebastian and Rochus in July 1508 by the then auxiliary bishop of Chur. Unfortunately, the chapel was closed today, and one could only glimpse the interior through a window. Detailed information about this small chapel, located in the heart of Satteins, can be found at pfarre-satteins.at/pfarre/8260/informationen/pfarrekirchenpfarrsaal/kirche&ts=1755635144062. Overall, a small but striking building with an interesting interior – well worth seeing.
