In 1800, Princess Pauline, after examining the building trades of the time, determined "that nowhere was construction slower, more expensive and less good than in Detmold". We started with Heiko at Neuhaus Castle 🏰, into the Senne through blooming heath. Past the local history center in Bentlage with old buildings 🏘️ to the next station Emsquelle.
