Panoramic view

Highlight • Viewpoint

It's simply beautiful up here. And not just because of the great landscape: the mountains around Bad Kleinkirchheim attract visitors with around 1,900 hours of sunshine a year! Numerous cable cars take you up to 2,100 meters - right in the middle of the Nockberge Biosphere Park or to the Kaiserburg. Enjoy it all.

From the Kolmnock, a technically demanding trail namely the Kolmnock Downhill leads almost directly down to the Brennsee! The trail is a little insider tip and includes passages that require courage and self-confidence even for advanced hikers. Very casual trail!

June 23, 2023,Bad Kleinkirchheim - Kaiserburg - Gewitter
900 must be deducted from the HM because I took the cable car to the Kaiserburg 😉. I wanted to take the gondola up again, but it had stopped operating due to a thunderstorm. Had to wait 2 hours for better weather and went back to CP in the rain 😒.

Actually had a different tour idea. Wanted to climb a Nock via St. Oswald and the Bachweg. Suddenly I found myself in front of three signs prohibiting bicycles. Had respect and drove back. The creek path is very beautiful. I then met up with Martin at the Kaiserburg station and drove back down the Flow Country Trail.

Attention, hm optimistic, took the Kaiserburgbahn up twice! Lunch in the Unterwirt Hüttn, 😋

Once you reach the top station of the Kaiserburgbahn cable car, add another 100 meters of elevation gain and you're at Wöllanernock. It's inexplicable to me that most people take the gondola up with their ridiculously expensive e-bikes and then just ride back down. Very few want to put in the extra effort. Even children and teenagers are raised this …

Today after work I conquered the "local mountain" of Bad Kleinkirchheim to test the self-constructed belt of my Brose motor --> It held 😎

Nice, long flow trail down to the valley, I took a shortcut and rode a few paths 😜

No people on the mountain or on the trail, I was alone, maybe it was too hot today...

Went up to the Imperial Castle without a lift. Then followed the flow trail for a bit, then the intention was to ride the Rossralm trail. We didn't succeed, but we found the stream trail and rode it. Was nice.

First with the e-bike on the Wöllaner Nock and then down the longest flow trail in Europe, the Flow Country Trail 😊.

Today it was all about the Kolmnock. The long, sometimes steep ascent was supposed to end at Kaiserbruck, but there was simply too much snow on the last stretch. Together with the icy wind, I lost my appetite and looked for alternatives. I continued to follow the original route, which runs for a while on the Flow Country Trail. Later …
