Today we took a trip to Ghent. From the P+R Watersportbaan, you can take the bus to the city center in 15 minutes for 15 cents.
Ghent is worth seeing with its historic city center and old buildings, but it doesn't have the flair of Bruges.

A wish of mine that I have had for years is to go to Ghent in Belgium. And since I am only a little over an hour away from Ghent (if you drive through the tunnel and pay a 5€ toll), I made that wish come true today 😍! And I tell you "WOOF" 😍😍😍
This city has so much …

We started the Ghent tour in the Kouter car park (where the flower market takes place on Sundays).

During the tour you pass the most important highlights of Ghent (including Sint-Michielsbrug and Sint-Michielskerk, Belfry, Stadshal, Graffiti Street, ...) as well as shopping streets.

Not quite round. Depart from a breakfast cafe and end at P Reep. Hotel stay at Getaway, opposite the P. Definitely recommended.

Today I wanted to rediscover Ghent. I've been there years ago, but due to the very wet weather at the time, I didn't get to see much.

Ghent is a beautiful old port city in north-west Belgium in the confluence of the Leie and the Scheldt.

Ghent is a surprisingly pretty city for us with what feels like more churches/cathedrals in a small area than our adopted home of Lübeck.
