Unfortunately raw sewage is being pumped into the river further upstream. Water is not safe for children or pets anymore. 😡

January 2, 2024,Chess Valley Walk | Chesham to Rickmansworth
This is beautiful walk, but I think I chose the wrong time to do it. It rained throughout the walk and I had to wade through puddles up to 6in. Regardless of all the puddles and the rain, I still enjoyed the Chess Valley Walk. I will definitely return to Chesham to do this walk again in summer.

Starts with a nice walk along the river, then goes really horrible for a bit; tight corridors running behind houses, then a stretch of brambles and scrub next to the M25. But really opens up on the other side, and becomes quite lovely. Next time would probably start at Chorleywood, not Rickmansworth.
