St Mary's Church, Conwy

Highlight • Historical Site

The foundations of St Mary's Church in Conwy date from 1172 and Aberconwy Abbey was completed in 1186. Since then the church has grown and changed. It was originally the Cistercian Aberconwy Abbey, but in 1283 King Edward I of England moved the abbey to Maenan. The church registers date from 1541.
In the summer the church now also serves as a venue for the Conwy Classical Music Festival.
