Plym Valley Trail

Highlight • Trail

The Plym Valley Trail is a pretty stretch of the Devon Coast to Coast cycle ride. The traffic-free route runs through National Trust-owned woodland along the River Plym into Plymouth city centre. The trail leads past dramatic industrial ruins, towering cliff faces and across impressive viaducts. The route runs a total of 10 miles (16 km) from Dartmoor to Plymouth. Cann Viaduct

Highlight • Cycleway

The cycle trail passes over the River Plym by way of the Cann Viaduct. On the viaduct you will find a Peregrine Falcon viewing platform and its worth stopping here in spring and early summer. Opposite the platform is an old quarry where the Peregrines nest on ledges. There is a telescope mounted here so you can get a really good view of the nesting birds.

Outside of these times, a break in your ride is still recommended to look out for other wildlife that call Plym Woods home, such as woodpeckers and ravens.

Cann Woods (Plymbridge Woods)

Highlight • MTB Park

Better known as Cann woods, so many trails, some steep, techy and flowy riding. It is a bit of a maze, you may get list but it is well worth it 👌
