Lesser Lane Climb

Descents into Combs need to be aware of gravel roads at the bottom. Climbers will have a smooth, quiet single track road to climb out of the vilage with great views and safe verges at the end.

Just been back over this but has sadly been resurfaced the whole way! Shame really as it just becomes another long climb out of Buxton.

The largest free standing dome on a building in Europe, this building is part of the University of Derby (was the hospital at one time). There is a cafe, restaurant and various beauty treatment places inside the building all run by the trainee students.
Free to visit just to look at the impressive inside or to visit the cafe. The restaurant is recommended for lunch but you'll need to book and put aside at least 1.5 hours.
