Nidda River Landscape

Highlight • River

The Nidda River is a magnificent river landscape. Especially upstream, the area is being increasingly renaturalized. It's wonderfully relaxing to cycle along it.

Nidda Auen Bad Vilbel

Highlight • River

Great how the Nidda meanders through the landscape here. After years of renaturation efforts, numerous animal and plant species find their habitat in the species-rich floodplains. Kingfishers, beavers, and even the European pond turtle have been able to resettle here.

No more Bad Vilbel. The Nidda cycle path is closed on both sides before Bad Vilbel. You have to cross the railway line via an elaborate construction. Definitely takes 5-10 minutes.
