Ruins of the Waśniewski Manor in Klukowo

Highlight • Historical Site

Built in 1923 by Stanisław Waśniewski. Today's Klukowo was then called Smolechowo. Until 1939, the manor house was continuously the seat of the Waśniewski family.

After the outbreak of World War II, the whole family left the manor house to return to Kluków in 1940. They were given a room in the attic, as the manor was already in German hands.

A year later, they were even thrown out of this attic room.

In 1945, the communist authorities divided the property, allocating 8 ha to each of the former employees of the Waśniewski state. They returned to each other in the hope of recovering the remains. Unfortunately - former employees were already accommodated in the manor house, and the pre-war owners were left homeless.

The manor house in Kluków was devastated from year to year, and on August 22, 1990 it was partially burned down.

The manor house in Kluków, or rather its ruins, are listed in the Register of Monuments under number 314.
