Here we settled down for a cyclist's half-liter beer. At first glance, a nice, clean, and tidy alpine hut, with hosts who seemed meticulous and friendly. However, upon closer inspection, the hut turned out to be a dream for every passing hiker: the hut proved to be rustic, clean, and simply furnished. A great time we spent there, and one thing is certain: this was not the last time. So head to Frankenalm and have the same experience.

The tour from Hinterwössen is brilliant for these hot, dry summer days. The path leads up and down the north side of the mountain and the two paths were quite dry and easy to walk. The lake itself is not cold, so definitely pack your swimwear!
