Henry David Thoreau visited Red Wing, Minnesota in 1961 and wrote in his journal "I spent several hours on Barn Bluff to-day, exploring its summit and ravines. It is a very interesting spot, with many fine views of the river and the surrounding country." My sentiments exactly all these 162 years later.
