The name is derived from Postel Abbey. The church that used to be on the Oude Kerkhof used to be served by the priests of this abbey. (explanation following a tour on April 16, 2023 by Jacq. Bijnen of Stichting Historisch Erfgoed Veldhoven)

De Adriaan Windmill

Highlight • Monument

Original grain mill from 1906. The west side is plastered to protect the building against the wind and rain. The mill occasionally turns, but no more grinding is done. That does happen in the mill in Oerle (the Oerse Molenbakker), which has the same owner. In the past, the province provided a subsidy for running the mill, which depended on the number of revolutions. There was a counter in the mechanism for that. Sint-Caeciliakerk

Highlight • Religious Site

The St. Cecilia Church is a national monument. As early as 1834, there was a so-called Waterstaat Church on the square in front of this church, the name for churches that were built in part of the 19th century under the supervision of the Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management. If you look closely you can still see the contours of that church in the square. The church as it stands here now was built just before WWI and expanded in the late 1850s.
