Fantastically romantic, wild path that has much more to offer with tunnels and supervisory boards on the rock than great views of the valley.

May 29, 2023,Beuron - Rote Brunnen Höhle, St. Maurus Kapelle, Petershöhle - Runde ab BH Beuron 29.05.23
Beautiful round along the Danube, partly on bike paths, with beautiful views of Beuron's monastery. Past the Placidus Hütte, then along the Danube on a beautiful forest path through 2 tunnels to the St. Maurus Chapel, Rote Brunnen Höhle and the Petershöhle, which unfortunately is no longer accessible, and back to Beuron.

Many thanks to @Robert🦋 for the great round 🤗🥰

It's almost 3 km of tar road, but the rest of the round is great paths and trails 😁 that makes up for everything 😍

Path from Rote Brunnen Cave closed due to suspected rockfall, therefore hike via Wildenstein Castle

Free parking at the train station: closed today due to Christmas tree sales.
The tour started with high fog and ended like that, with pure sunshine in between.
I shortened the tour when high fog became visible again over Wildenstein Castle.
The hiking trail from km 5.7 - approx. 6.1 is closed - there is a risk of falling stones. …

I got the tour from @Robert🦋. It is very beautiful and thus combines new paths with well-known ones. With public transport to Beuron and started at 8.00 a.m. at an optimal temperature. After the hike, go to church and say thank you at mass for being able to hike here in such beautiful nature.

A great tour! Today I was once again drawn to the Danube valley...starting in Beuron via the Benedictus cave to the rock gallery up to Wildenstein Castle. It got a bit more adventurous there, because the path, which requires a bit of surefootedness anyway, was partly icy and cost me a bit of effort in some places. That's why I …

Super nice tour in the upper Danube valley. I had the area on my list for a long time. Again and again great views and views of the castle, monastery and rock formations. Unfortunately, the Petershöhle was closed (path and ladder with flutter tape) and no reason was given.

Today I took a short, leisurely walk through the Danube Valley. The weather was fantastic, but a cold breeze blew every now and then. A short section of the path near the Maurusfelsen rock is closed due to a rockfall. Coming from the Beuron direction, the sign is only about 50 meters before it. The descent after the Benedictushöhle cave …
