Here you have a great view of the large Dhünntalsperre, after all Germany's second largest drinking water dam. All around is a lot of nature with many rare and protected species.

Eifgenbach

Highlight • River

After large amounts of rain, the Eifgenbach can also become uncomfortable. Experienced it yesterday and therefore had to take a detour up again to Thomas-Hof to avoid the Eifgenbach.

The starting point was Altenberg again today. A tour along everything that has a name and a sound: Dhünn, Eifgenbach, Dünweger Bach, Heimbach, Eifgenbach again, Linnefe, Dhünntalsperre, Bömericher Bach, Pfengstbach and a bit more Altenberg. All garnished with a few meters of elevation and plenty of water in the streams, rivers and also on the paths 😁. Nevertheless: autumn hiking …

A little get-to-know-you group for your vacation in June in the Stubaital 😊 was a nice little group in great weather ☀️☀️☀️☀️

The starting point was the Schöllerhof hiking car park. After a good 40 minutes, we reached the Thomashof – the perfect place for a leisurely breakfast. Plentiful, delicious, and very relaxing... perhaps a little too plentiful for the rest of the hike, as the start after that wasn't all that easy. 😅

Finally out again 😄. According to the weather forecast, it was already very early in the morning with a shady 0 degrees out into the Bergisches Land. From de Coenenmühle we went a bit through Linnefetal to the Dhünntalsperre from there through Pfengsbachtal to Altenberger Dom. Then a bit along the Dhünn and from there we continued adventurously through the …

Nice round along the dam. Shortly before the dam we got really wet.🌨But then the sun came out again and everything was able to dry.☀️💨

One thing is certain if you follow the tour, it is super exhausting, but it is just awesome and believe me, it is also worth a longer journey

Attention, we didn't get over the Eifgen because of high water. The detour via the Thomashof is not recorded
