The ski stadium on the Idre Fjäll is the starting point for numerous ski trails in this ski area. From 2.5 km to 18 km, classic or skating technique, there is something for everyone. There are also illuminated trails ("lätt spår") here, so you can go cross-country skiing in the evenings after sunset. Just follow the signs (colored diamonds) of the trails and respect the direction, then there is nothing in the way of winter sports.

I join the general enthusiasm for this great spot. I was here in winter and was glad to have had snowshoes with me. The ascent from the east was also done on foot by several skiers, but the way across the Fjäll definitely required skis or snowshoes. I went up from the west and it was quite a climb. But great! Since I was at the top in the fog the first time, I came back again in good weather.

At 1131 meters, you've reached the highest point in Dalarna. A small, inconspicuous pile of stones marks the actual summit – you won't find a summit cross here. From the top of Städjan, you have a fantastic view down to the winter sports resort of Idre Fjäll and the Norwegian mountains in the distance, weather permitting. There have also been reports of ski tourers using the steep slope for some freeride descents.
