Hooydonk Watermill and Weir

The mill was destroyed during the Eighty Years' War and later rebuilt. After the rebuild, a full mill was added. In the seventeenth century, there was a miller, Matthias Jansen van der Crabbe, who served pints of beer to customers, hoping to keep them away from the competing Opwetten watermill.

Both were located in the building on the east side (the lower of the two). A mechanical mill was housed there. It was extended by 8 m in the second half of the twentieth century and converted into a house.
A lot of restoration work was done in the years 1996 to 2000. In 2009 the water wheel on the house was connected to a generator for the generation of electricity
