Garth Hill Climb

Highlight • Climb

Its a steep uphill from Taffs Well direction. For an easier ascent aproach from Pentyrch direction. Be sure to take time though to visit "The Garth Pimple" (road cyclist will need to push or carry your bike from the short distance from the tarmac) with its Tumuli and 360 panorama, where you can see as far as Avonmouth and can look down on Castel Coch. Whilst in Taffs Well visit Wales is only Thermal Spring. There is a Free House here for refreshment.

The road to the South of Garth Mountain is named the "Route Des Alpes" on Google maps. I'm thinking it isn't genuine, but I like it!

The views from the footpath climbing up off the road are fantastic on a clear day.

Stunning little hill with commanding views just outside Cardiff with a trig pointed summit. It is a UK listed Marilyn.
