Beautiful old bridge. The Lahn is very low here, making it a popular spot for children. There's also a lovely rest area.

June 13, 2023,Lahn-Radweg - Tag 2 - Von Bad Laasphe nach Marburg
That's how we liked the Lahnradweg - pure cycling pleasure. Great cycle paths, few inclines and mostly away from any main roads. Through the Lahn valley, past fields and meadows, freshly mown hay everywhere and the Lahn mostly in sight. We're in Marburg early, so we still have plenty of time to explore the city. That's how we like it …

Nice and comfortable down the Lahn. This morning a short visit to the old town in Bad Laasphe, stopover in Biedenkopf and on to Marburg. The number of pubs and restaurants along the cycle path is shockingly low. 🙄

Today we took the train from Niederlaasphe to Marburg in a very relaxed manner. Made a nice stroll through the old town and looked at the castle. Then cycled back to the campsite with the bikes. Had a great day!

The way to Marburg is nice to drive. Unfortunately, the cycle path rarely leads along the Lahn, so there is little visual contact with the river.

TOUR 21 Day 36 to Wittgenstein.
After a day off, it started at 9 a.m. today. It was raining, today I had my Mtb shoes on to clip in. After a short time my feet were cold. Neoprene overcoat but unfortunately no improvement. Well, the rubber boots from Sweden are better. The weather changed, sun, rain ☔️ Strong wind, gusts …

On the fifth stage of our Lahn bike tour, things went comfortably today. Mostly paved and slightly downhill, the 50 km were quickly covered despite the headwind. It was fun parallel to the railway line or across floodplains. Only a longer detour led us steeply over a mountain. Shortly before Marburg, bicycle traffic increased enormously. Marburg seems to be a …

The last stage on Sunday was completely along the Lahn cycle path. We were able to enjoy the Lahn valley on wide asphalt cycle paths. The final tour went without any further incidents. Almost boring 😉. In Biedenkopf we drove into town again and visited a delicious Italian restaurant. We were all delighted.
A lovely long cycling weekend ended in …

We started our tour quite leisurely on the Kurhessenbahn to Bad Laasphe. But from Biedenkopf onwards, the route changed fundamentally. A detour took us via Kombach and Buchenau. On some steep uphill sections, our calf muscles and batteries had to show what they were capable of. My wife and I seriously considered abandoning the bike tour, as the fun had …
