I think David Niven built this bridge.

From Symonds Yat Rock you are afforded a stunning view over the picturesque Wye Valley. This viewpoint is one of the best places in the country to watch peregrine falcons. Keep a look-out for other birds, including sparrowhawks, ospreys, buzzards, and owls.

Dean Forest Cycles & Café

Highlight • Rest Area

Nice shop and cafe with some parking. They carry a good range of gear in the shop and you can end up coming out with more than expected.

Staff are very friendly and the cafe is great with nice coffee and a good selection of delicious cakes.

Sometimes overlooked is the seating at the back of the cafe. Only small but nice place to enjoy your coffee and cake.

Some excellent trails nearby 👍

The café is a vintage 70's Firetruck offering drinks & snacks during Spring/Summer, situated next to the river Wye at Kerne Bridge Canoe Launch, Bishopswood, with picnic tables.

Kerne Bridge over the River Wye

Highlight • Viewpoint

Quite a local landmark hereabouts, especially if you are on the river. An ancient crossing point that has been about in one way or another since roman times. An important bridge connection on the Wye that at one stage was tolled. Failure to pay the toll made you liable to a £5 fine. Some things have never changed!
