The valley station of the cable car is located on the edge of the mountain village of Marciana. From here you can reach Monte Capanne. The railway was built in the sixties and renovated in 2005. By train you can reach the summit of Monte Capanne in about 18 minutes, from where you can enjoy the unique panorama.
It is not an ordinary cable car with cabins, as the name "Cabinova" falsely suggests. You are in a waist-high basket that holds a maximum of two people. This has the advantage of a magnificent all-round view. And every time someone gets in, the journey leaves and then accelerates again. It always rocks a bit.
