The Königsbachtal is a partially walkable valley that you can hike along the RheinBurgenWeg. The Königsbach rises below the Dommelsberg, on which a Celtic ring wall settlement existed 2000 years ago. The Königsbach is only 854 meters long and flows through a V valley. It flows into the Rhine below the Koblenz brewery.

A quick evening hike or a backpack stress test? 🥵
I'm preparing for a week of hiking – and I realize: with heavy packs, even the local trail suddenly becomes an adventure. 😅

Today's route took us from Rittersturz to Dommelsberg, an early Celtic settlement (11th century BC) with fantastic views of the Moselle and Lahn estuaries and long stretches of the Rhine valley, along the paths of the Rhine Castles Trail and the World Heritage Trail.
