The green belt hiking trail always went along the Nidda. It all started at the battery in Frankfurt-Höchst. There is ample free parking here. From here the hike along the Nidda starts. There is an incredible amount to see: ponds, weirs, herons, swans, geese, bridges (note: one of them is only 1.80 high), beautiful rest areas and pure nature.
