Four Castles Tour Neckarsteinach

Vorderburg and Mittelburg are both privately owned are not accessible.
The Vorderburg is fenced wide and you get really only the keep from the distance to face. At the Mittelburg run the public paths along the outer walls and you also get a good impression of the beautifully preserved grounds from the outside.

I've only ever seen Schadeck Castle from afar, so we made a round trip out of it. It was wonderful and the weather also played along.

The 2nd stage of the Neckarsteig was very nice. Since this stage still leaves room for improvement, you can connect it very well with the Vier-Burgen-Weg and hike back to Neckargemünd, especially because the S-Bahn is closed for construction work until October 8th.
