Font de Sant Vicenç

Highlight • Natural Monument

This fountain is located next to the torrent of Can Gordi. Next to it, on a hill, are the remains of the hermitage of Sant Vicenç. This source, documented as early as the tenth century, no longer cracks. The front is made of exposed stone with the top finished with a semicircular arch.

The tube is made of cast iron. To visit both the hermitage and the fountain, it is best to go along the Rambla de Can Bell, park near the Beltran house and follow the white and yellow markings on the PR-C-38. The hermitage, in Romanesque style, venerated the Virgin of the Forest, a polychrome wooden image that is now in the Diocesan Museum of Barcelona.

Definitely worths a stop! A mdevial chapel that used to be the centre of the ancient little village in the valley around it ( reached to Can Gordi) , appeared in document dated back to the 10th Century. The chapel was completely destroyed and all its belongings, including the shrine, were gone to other farms or the government in 1835, when church processions were violently seizured in Spain. This archaeological discovery-restoration site was opened to the public since the 1980s, when 2 pieces of the original chapel floor, partial altar and a scripture plaque were found by the archaeologists. You can still see those findings on site. IT CAN BE DIFFICULT TO FIND, as the chapel couldn't be seen from any spot in the forest. But actually it's only a few meters above the fountain of the same name.

Sant Crist de Llaceres Chapel

Highlight • Religious Site

It is a hermitage with a Latin cross plan and a single nave. It has exterior buttresses on the walls or side facades. The entrance door is rectangular and the façade is crowned by a belfry. The interior is decorated with frescoes by Grau Garriga from Sant Cugat, made around 1950
