Lawrence of Arabia. He is buried in Moreton Cemetery in Dorset, England. His tombstone is simple and has only his name, his dates of birth and death, and a cross. He died on May 19, 1935 from a motorcycle accident. He was a famous British soldier, writer, archaeologist and scientist who was known for his role in the Arab Revolt against the Ottoman Empire during World War I.

On the route here you might even ride over the exact spot where he crashed on his Brough Superior Limited motorbike (the exact location remains a mystery but it's reportedly somewhere near Pallington Farm). Some might think he's a fictional character due to all the films made about his life but T E Lawrence was actually a British Intelligence Officer born in Wales but resident in Dorset, who fought alongside Arab guerrilla forces in the Middle East during the First World War. He later worked as an advisor to Winston Churchill and then for the RAF.
