The white sand and clear waters of Carbis Bay Beach are sheltered from the big Atlantic seas so it makes for a tranquil beach, popular with swimmers. It is often less busy than other beaches in Cornwall. It also hosted the G7 summit back in 2021.

St. Ives is easy to walk on in the mornings without the tourist crowds. A great atmosphere even in cloudy weather. Sometimes you can also use the enchanted Coastel Path.
