Sainte-Jeanne-d'Arc Church of Gien

The Sainte-Jeanne-d'Arc church overlooks the town of Gien. Only the bell tower resisted the bombings of June 1940. The church was rebuilt in the 1950s, in red brick, to harmonize with the neighboring castle.

The Sainte Joan of Arc church is the last of the buildings built on the same site since the end of the Middle Ages. It is made of cut stone, brick and slate.
