On a sign you can still read "Wackelay", where Wacke(n) stands for rock and Lay for location (a common term in wine-growing regions), so it's the "Felsenlage".

Next photo tour is coming up 😁

This time we're heading to the Moselle and the castles and jugglers ☺️

The tour has a few elevation changes, and some of the paths are a bit narrow and slate-heavy 😀

...or something like that. In any case, I saw the sign quite often. Afternoon loop with a lot of distance on rocky paths - that's how I like it. Views would have been nice with a bit more ☀️. But the Winneburg was also quite nice.

Trip to Cochem. No shopping or leisurely ride on the cable car up to the Reichsburg. The little trails were supposed to accompany us throughout the day, that's what my sweetheart had recommended. His colleague @Achim Weikinger had already done the loop with his girlfriend and couldn't stop raving about it. The first climb was tough; eyed pityingly by the …

The Cochem Knights' Tour begins at the chairlift in Cochem, from where you can either take the chairlift or walk to the "Pinnerkreuz" lookout point. From there, you go up to the Wackeley. Then continue to the Winneburg castle ruins. From all three lookout points, you have an impressive view of the Moselle, the surrounding wooded mountains and the Reichsburg. …

In @Achim Weikinger's footsteps, almost at least😋the heat was right too🥵

A mega tour, away from the tourist areas in Cochem. After you continue hiking the "side trip" at the cable car mountain station, it becomes quiet. I only met 3 people😅
The castle is freely accessible and there is a lot to explore.

Nice tour with a lot of altitude for Cochem. The loop towards Greimersburg turns into a "wild path" at the end shortly before the Endert 🙄.
From the Winneburg, navigation has said goodbye. From there it was cross-country 🤠 So, if you want to follow up from Winneburg, pay attention to the signs 🤣
