Hard work but worth the views. Some crazy drivers, so I'd recommend being a strong cyclist

December 6, 2022,Gran Canaria 🇪🇸 Bergrunde ⛰️ über Sta. Lucia & San Bartolomé 👌🏻😃
Today we went into the mountains again - with the best cycling weather again☀️👍🏻 The route turned out to be "absolutely spectacular" again (I could copy my enthusiastic descriptions of the lectures 1:1 here 😜)! Especially on the way back, shortly before reaching the "Mirador Astronomico", I had to "hide" again with all my willpower, where I cycle along there, …

That's the craziest thing we've ever done. A grandiose mountain tour with indescribable views that you can never experience in a car.

First ASR ride on Gran Canaria. Very hot and some steep climbs but the scenery was spectacular. The ride off the top was breathtaking and the final kilometres along the coast with smooth roads and a strong tailwind meant that Sam and I could click along at 50kph. Almost felt like a pro!😂
So I can really recommend the round. Spectacular landscape, very nice villages. Like everywhere else here, things are going up a bit. 😜😜

My next stop was in Santa Lucía, where, after a quick snack, I prepared for the rapid descent🚀. However, I had to be extremely careful☝️, as the gusty crosswinds were getting stronger and stronger, and …

Nice and cozy bar Mundo Aborigen. Most cyclists cycle past this, because the top …

Not an easy tour, it's a tough climb upwards. I am amazed at the good roads, up and down. A break in Santa Lucia at the Mirador restaurant is worth it.
