March 3, 2023,Hike to Viet Hai Village from Cat Ba

The tour starts from the Viet Hai village. Coming from the harbour it is 4 km more on concrete street, there is not a trail: grab a bike or a e-taxi.
The tour is intermediate level, need good shoes.
Beautiful geological landscape, with lots of carsic patterns. The cave itself, even it is short, shows beautiful high pressure water flow …

January 7, 2026,🇻🇳 Vietnam: Cát Bà Nationalpark Dschungeltrekking / Teil 1

At 8:00 a.m. sharp, the van picks me up at the homestay. Then the rest of the group is picked up. There are seven of us (a Belgian couple living in New Zealand and us Germans, a mixed bunch of ages). And our guide, who calls himself Gecko.
