Red Cross House, Malo Sljeme

Highlight • Mountain Hut

The Red Cross home was built in 1932. and is located at the top called Malo Sljeme (959 m). In 1984, the building was renovated and extended according to the conceptual design of the architect Andrija Mutnjaković, and today it is very well maintained and in perfect condition (at least according to what was seen from the outside). The dormitory has 64 beds and a dining room for about 100 people, but it is a closed type - namely, it is not for mountaineers but for outdoor schools.

In the courtyard of the Home is the Chapel of St. Francis, a bronze sculpture of a bear, and a small fountain.
