There are lots of flat rocks around here so it was a good place to stop.
The path slippery and dangerous when wet as it will drop you onto the rocks below so careful!!!

Sgwd y Pannwr

Highlight • Waterfall

Sgwd y Pannwr - 'fall of the fuller' or 'fall of the woollen washer' in Welsh - is the lowermost of the three much-loved falls on the Mellte. Like something from a Jungle Book scene, this waterfall is as dramatic as it is beautiful.

If you plan your route along this path you may want to take rest at this spot. It provides two benches. A few meters further down you'll find a big resting area where people are generally picking - a couple even did a BBQ though I don't know if this is allowed or was simply tolerated.

Afon Mellte Footbridge

Highlight • Bridge

This footbridge across the Afon Mellte is located just north of Sgwd Clun Gwyn. The bridge is located on the connector trail leading from Porth Yr Ogof car park to the Four Falls Trail. This is a nice, easy, and very popular walk.

Sgwd Uchaf Clun-Gwyn Waterfall

Highlight • Viewpoint

The first waterfall most hikers encounter when exploring 'Waterfall Country' in the Brecon Beacons is Sgwd Uchaf Clun-Gwyn, meaning ‘upper fall of the white meadow’. Comprising two sets of falls, a few hundred metres apart, the upper falls are the highest and thunder dramatically into the River Mellte below. The lower falls are a picturesque series of cascades that flow into the steep gorge below.

These are the 4 waterfalls we looked at today. Absolutely worth seeing! At the second one, you can even walk behind the waterfall. I tried it and gave up due to the crowd of people 😃.

beautiful waterfalls, but unfortunately not such a nice day for me, I slipped on the slippery rocks and landed backwards in the water with my camera. Sprained my right wrist, micked my elbow and then, as a reward, walked wet and muddy for about 1 hour to the car. 😓
