Lahn cycle path

Highlight (Segment) • Cycleway

I agree with the criticism: the path is not recommended for racing bikes due to the narrow width, frost and root cracks, right-angled route and overcrowding on nice days and at the weekend.

A nice tour and the weather lasted. No rain, unfortunately no sun either.
In the end I ran out of "grains" and got cramps in the Sayntal.
Hardly trained and still want to drive such a distance, overconfidence sends greetings and comes before the cramps 😅.
Something new, a cramp in the back of the thigh and trying to get …

A beautiful, flat tour for cycling (or racing). Be sure to plan a break in the stunningly beautiful spa town of Bad Ems. The Lahn cycle path is beautiful, but in good weather it's busy and narrow—if you want to go fast, you'd better take the road. Otherwise: Enjoy!

Today "4 valleys" were on the program. We went down through the "Sayntal" (1.🏞) to Bendorf.

Oops, the tour was almost over there. In the middle of the ride, Marco's left crank came loose from the axle! Luckily his tool had a nut large enough to loosen the bolt and reattach the crank.

And always the entire time as travel time. I cycled in under 5 hours. The rest were food or other stops.

The start of the tour was marked by rain jacket on, rain jacket off.
I either drove behind the rain or in front of it.
Unfortunately, the road was always wet until the middle of the Gelbachtal. Then it dried out and the weather improved. Along the Lahn, finally, there was sunshine.
We briefly visited the Kaiser at the Deutsches …

Today with "Icke"-Armin a nice ride through the Ww!
At a cool 8 degrees through the Gelbachtal down to the Lahn. Along it to Koblenz, to say "hello" to the Kaiser.
Back over the Urmitz 🚂 bridge and through the Sayntal to Maxsain.
Thanks Armin for the slipstream and for driving slowly 😀😀😀!
