Church of the Madonna dei Prati

Highlight • Religious Site

Small church at the entrance to Ceresole d'Alba arriving from the north. Nothing too fancy, but it's nice, and worth a bit of attention when passing by.

Church of Saint Anthony

Highlight • Religious Site

Modern church: a sign indicates that it dates back to the 19th century, although the inscription on the facade indicates 1903 - little difference, anyway. Although it is so modern, it has an almost 18th century neoclassical style, which is very good. It makes a nice effect. It is located on the road that leads from Ceresole to San Bernardo and from there to the Roero hills: a very beautiful route, of which this church is a gem.

The castle dates back to the 14th century, with later updates. Today it is a private villa, open to the public six days a year: if you don't end up there on one of those days (the last Sunday of the month from May to October) it still offers a nice view from the outside.
In its immediate vicinity is the church of San Bernardino, a typical brick building between Baroque and Neoclassical, with a beautiful elliptical rose window. The square in front is pedestrianised, with a water point nearby.

Sommariva Bosco - Ceresole

Highlight (Segment) • Cycleway

Old road between the two villages, with little traffic and immersed in the countryside. Unmissable in mid-seasons!

Heart of the historic center of Sommariva Bosco. Private, unfortunately it cannot be visited, but even from the outside it offers a nice view. The streets surrounding it are quite steep. Noteworthy, on the surrounding wall, is a beautiful niche/altar/pylon with frescoes.

Church of Saint Anne

Highlight • Religious Site

Beautiful church entirely in brick, in the classic eighteenth-century Piedmontese style on the border between baroque and neoclassical. Next to it, a contemporary building that was part of the church's appurtenances, now used for social functions. Nice place, very typical.

Chapel of the Holy Trinity

Highlight • Religious Site

Just outside Caramagna, a lovely tall and slender chapel, relatively atypical for these areas. Traveling between Caramagna and Sommariva Bosco you will inevitably come across it, and it is worth paying attention.

Piazza Sant'Agostino is the heart of historic Carmagnola. In addition to the church of Sant'Agostino, which gives it its name, the square is overlooked by Palazzo Lomellini, now home to the Civic Gallery of Contemporary Art. Also noteworthy is the Casa delle Meridiane (also known as Casa Piano), a 16th-century building with a façade entirely covered in 16th-century frescoes, giving the impression of a "tattooed" house. Not far away are the churches of San Filippo and San Rocco. Behind Sant'Agostino are the remains of the city's ancient bastions, restored and repurposed. A short distance from the square is the synagogue, with its museum of Jewish culture—almost hidden, you have to know where it is and search for it a bit: from the outside, it's almost unnoticeable. The square is also surrounded by bars, restaurants, and so on, making it a great place for a break. Please note: on Saturdays there is a market in the center of Carmagnola, so visiting may be a bit difficult.
