The wooden standard mill was part of the possessions of the Saint Bavo's Abbey in Ghent and was already mentioned in 1388, following a restoration. In 1566, hedge sermons were held by Protestants on the mill dam. The mill has been protected since 1944. The miller's house, a typical small and low house, since 1982.
