At the end of the 16th century, the Manrique de Lara family, who had owned the domain of Frigiliana and its lands since 1508, built their manor house. It is a large building, in Renaissance style. It covers an area of more than 2,000 square meters and is partly built with materials from the Arab castle. Today you can still see the chapel, halls, stairs, roof, doors, ironwork and stables as they looked more than four hundred years ago. It is interesting, on the facade, the beautiful sgraffito, the old bars, the balconies, the sundial and the niches, which were dedicated to San Raimundo and the Virgen del Carmen.
