The old lock Plaue in the Plauer Canal has been out of service since the opening of the Elbe-Havel Canal in 2003 and the lock in Wusterwitz. Today the lock is a listed building. The Schlosspark Plaue on the western outskirts of the city of Brandenburg a.d. Havel, located directly on the shore of Lake Plau, stretches for a good kilometer along the banks of the Havel, which here swivels to the north in the direction of the Elbe. This is where the particularly attractive section of the Lower Havel begins.
The park has emerged from a landscaped park, which was created in the mid-19th century by the then Count of Koenigsmarck and overprinted an older baroque complex. The originally larger "Tiergarten" extended into the area of today's city park further south and west along the banks of the lakes; today it still covers about 19 ha.
The riparian zone of the castle park is part of the landscape protection area "Brandenburger forest and lake area", which is protected by this regulation.

Children and parents learn about the eventful history from a farming and fishing village to an industrial location while walking on the Kirchmöser industrial nature trail in Brandenburg an der Havel. Families begin their tour of the Kirchmöser industrial trail at the north gate of the former Royal Prussian powder factory. Two circular routes, 4 km and 14 km long, lead through the industrial site, which is embedded in the beautiful lake landscape of the Brandenburg region.
The children and parents walk past architecturally interesting buildings. Information boards provide background information about the buildings and production facilities.
One of the 15 stations on the Kirchmöser industrial trail is the 65 meter high water tower. After the families have managed to climb the water tower, they enjoy the fantastic panoramic view of the former industrial facilities below them, over Brandenburg and the charming Brandenburg lake landscape.

On May 4, 2008, the 84-ton jet-black majestic swan made of steel, complete with a tender, floated into Kirchmöser on two special cranes and has been resting between Wusterwitzer Strasse and Platanenallee ever since. The BR 52 is reminiscent of the industrial history of the district of Kirchmöser.

At the time of the Second World War, the angle bunker was also popularly known as "concrete cigar" or "sugar loaf". This construction, developed by Leo Winkel in 1934, with the steeply sloping roof, was a bunker, most of which is above ground. The unusual shape was intended to offer a small target area for bombs and, if hit, ensure a slide without an explosion. It was completed in 1939 and, with its five floors at a height of 15 meters, offered shelter for a total of 168 people, mainly employees of the industrial and military administration.
