There are also huts here. What was once a campsite has been 'downgraded' to avoid the investment in plumbing etc that would otherwise be necessary. Camping is now no longer permitted.

If you can live with that, you will find a great, quiet parking space here, which is a good starting point for hikes on the island of Bolmsö.

Bolmsö Church

Highlight • Religious Site

Bolmsö Church is a church building in Växjö Diocese, belonging to Bolmsö Parish. The church, completed in 1863, is located on the island of Bolmsö in Lake Bolmen.

The church is built of stone and consists of a rectangular nave with a slightly narrower circular chancel to the east. The sanctuary is separated from the nave by a round arch opening. To the north is the sacristy and to the west is the church tower. The entrances are on the west and in the middle of the south side. The nave has a gabled roof covered with single-domed red bricks. The rounded sanctuary is covered with red lacquered sheet metal. The tower roof with spire is clad in copper. The dome is clad with a plain red panel and has a lower cornice with a spire clock.
