Today we cycled along the beautiful Ilm Cycle Path from Weimar to Kranichfeld and back again.

The tour had quite a bit of elevation gain 😅 but luckily we had our e-bikes.

The Ilm Cycle Path is incredibly beautiful and varied, and much of it runs directly along the water.

From Weimar to Belvedere Palace and then down into the Ilm Valley near Buchfart. We followed the Ilm Cycle Path to Bad Berka and Niederburg Castle in Kranichfeld. We continued to Hohenfelden Reservoir, past Tonndorf Castle, and along a magnificent, scenic high-altitude trail back to Bad Berka. We then returned to Weimar on the Ilm Cycle Path.
