Old Chapel Lime Tree of Schmidham

At a time when the plague was raging everywhere and claiming countless victims, only 8 deaths were recorded in Schmidham up to September 1634 and it was decided to erect a votive chapel in honor of the Virgin Mary, St. To build Sebastian and the "plague saint" Rochus. The chapel was consecrated on July 21, 1636, when the plague was almost gone, by Bishop Veit Adam von Freising in the presence of Probste Valentin Steyrer von Weyarn. From that time until now (!!!) every Sunday at 12:00 p.m. prayers come to the chapel in Schmidham for the Sunday prayer of the Rosary.
