Felixstowe Ferry and The Ferry Café

Highlight • Settlement

Here you can find a foot and bicycle ferry that runs between Felixstowe Ferry and Bawdsey. There are daily service from May to September, and weekends only from Good Friday to 30 April and October.

There is also a café nearby, The Ferry Café, a quirky establishment born in 1946 and still sporting 50s inspired interior.

This little tower is one of the many Martello towers built in the 19th century for coastal defences. They appear across the former British Empire and there are 45 left standing in the UK. The only defending this tower does now is from golf balls, as the Felixstowe golf course flows around it.

Felixstowe Beach Huts Promenade

Felixstowe has miles of beach and strolling along its promenade is one of the best ways to take it all in. There are colourful beach huts running alongside it, always ready to pose for a photo.
